Singing Sierra...
Sierra sang in sacrament meeting this past Sunday. She sang with her voice teacher Lori. Lori is an amazing person who has been such a wonderful influence on Sierra. Their voices blend so well together. I am so proud of her and her courage to sing in front of all those people. She will also be singing a solo part in her choir concert this week!

The Greatest Young Women EVER!
I am so lucky to work with these young women. I just want to cheer as I watch them doing all that they can to keep high standards in a world so full of opposition. They are trying to fellowship, befriend and share the gospel with those around them. They are definitely a light to me, their families and the friends they hang out with.
This is a picture from our FTSY day camp this past summer. The theme was don't "Flip Flop" on your standards.

Costumes
The kids had fun dressing up this year! We did our annual visit to Grandpa Jensen's and then went to the ward trunk or treat. Now, we are having a party at our house for Lacee's friend's. Devin went to Chase's, Amelia to Kaitlyn's and Caleb to Wikstrom's. Todd and I are here at home with Sierra and Jacob. It is a quiet night compared to some of our other Halloween Nights.
SCHOOL PUMPKIN WALK
Check out Caleb and Jacob's pumpkins for school.
Jacob's theme for his class was the Food Pyramid and so he made a vegetable pumpkin. He wanted to name it Elvis and so we called it Elvis Parsley and put "Eat more Vegetables, thank you, thank you, thank you very much!" That is Jacob's favorite impersonation! Have him do the impersonation for you sometime:)
Caleb's class theme was jungle animals and so we got real original and had his anaconda try and smother the pumpkin. We are sooooo original!

Another CraZY HAir dAy!
Red Ribbon Week for the elementary school was last week. I didn't get this picture posted, but How can I not show Jacob's 'HAWK'.
The funniest thing is that Caleb came out of the bathroom that day with his hair combed all nice and I asked him if he had forgotten it was crazy hair day. He replied "hey mom, this is CRAZY for me, I actually combed my hair!"...so true!
You gotta love 10 year old boys!

Football is Over :(
Well, another sport is done. Devin's Freshman football team played their last game tonight. What a fun season with great coaches and a great group of boys. They only lost 2 games and played every game with total heart.
Devin did so amazing! He was so fun to watch. He played on offense in the Y position. He did a lot of blocking, caught receptions and ran the ball sometimes. He was involved in quite a few trick plays where he even threw the ball to receivers. He threw several touchdown passes and two point conversions. Tonight he caught a pass for an almost touchdown, fumbled it on the 1" line and recovered it in the endzone. It was his first touchdown! Whoo Hoo Way to Go! He also was the kicker and punter. He kept very busy and loved every minute of it.

Volleyball is Over :)
Here's a BIG shout out to Lacee. Tonight was her last home game and she played amazing! She has weathered a very tough year with a lot of team drama. She did it with her usual grace, leadership and good attitude. Sometimes it is hard as a parent to see your child hurting and frustrated, but I am glad Lacee stuck it out and I know she will be better because of it. It has been great watching her play.
You're the best Lace!

Fall Break
Todd decided on Friday the 17th to take the day off and we went 4-wheeling. We had a great time. We packed a lunch and went over to Promontory Point and took turns riding out to the Spiral Jetty at The Great Salt Lake. Jacob and I even wondered if we could yell to Grandma and Grandpa Figgins on the Antelope Island side of the lake. HAHA. It was fun just being away for a few hours together. I thought the veiw was amazing, all the dirt and sagebrush surrounded by beautiful, clear, blue sky.
We are BYU crazy!
To be a member of the Jensen family you must be a BYU football fan! Both Todd and I grew up watching them and now we watch them faithfully as a family! We have season tickets and the kids take turns to go and watch with Todd. We watch the away games on TV, cheer when they win and are very sad when they lose. This weekend was sad. TCU kicked on our Cougars:(. Well, there is always next week. Our kids are dreading school today and all the UTE fans who will rub it in (since they beat Colorado State). We might be a little too cocky when we talk about the Cougars!
