Driving!

Lacee got her license yesterday. She was so excited. I let her miss some of school to go get it. The weather was horrible, but she took 'her' van to school. I loved it because she was able to take care of some errands for me.



Okay so I had to take pictures of her driving... away! She just laughed at me.
This growing up thing can really be bitter-sweet.

Sweet Sixteen Bash!

After watching Bear River beat Logan in a nail biter Basketball Ball game. (WOO HOO! They are Region Champs!) About 40 or so of Lacee's friends came over to celebrate her birthday. Todd and I had decided that this should be a big deal and so we let Lacee tell all her friends to come. We had pizza (9 Large!) cake and ice cream and snacks. It was loud, crazy, and crowded! But what great kids they all were. The party wrapped up around 12:00, but there were a few that stayed longer. I think Lacee had a great time. Devin stayed for a little while and then went over to his friend's house. Sierra and Amelia loved seeing all Lacee's friends (especially the boys). Caleb helped with food- okay he ate it! Jacob provided the entertainment- death defying light saber action! He was in his element! It was a FUN night.
Thanks to all the great kids that came and made it a special night for Lacee!

Sweet Sixteen!

It's official! She is finally 16. Lacee has been counting down since last year. I remember this solid, sturdy little 7lb. 15oz. dark haired baby girl being placed in my arms and thinking how lucky I was. I continue to believe that. As she got into the car this morning I couldn't help but be grateful for this SOLID girl who has stayed so true to her standards. She is a great example to her siblings, friends, and to me.
I hope 16 is everything you dream it to be Lacee!

SISTERS!!!

I grew up with two sisters and I am so grateful for both of them. I think that Sierra, Amelia and Lacee are lucky to have each other. Hopefully someday they will feel that too! Last night we moved bedrooms around and now Lacee and Amelia are together and Sierra has her own room. We did this because Sierra needs lots of rest and consistent sleep with her seizures. Amelia is an insomniac (or so she says) and so the combination was not working. Lacee had her own tiny room with BIG furniture and so we switched things around. Lacee's HUGE bed dwarf's Amelia's and Lacee believes that hers is the throne therefore she is queen of the room. Amelia claims she was there first and so she is queen. DRAMA! Needless to say Sierra is thrilled and got great sleep last night. Plus her furniture fits perfect in the little room. Hopefully it will all work out well and we will have three happy pleasant girls in our home! :)

Wrestling!

Devin finished up wrestling this week. Although he had never wrestled before, he did a great job. He was so disappointed when he didn't make the basketball team and yet he said he would try wrestling. I was excited because my brother Eric wrestled and it was so fun to watch. I remember losing my voice yelling so hard for him. Devin learned a lot and really improved a ton. Devin has decided to keep up with wrestling, he will only get better! I guess some things work out for the best! (The B Ball team has had a rough year) :)

I am back!

Many might be surprised to see me post. I am Back. After a great holiday break, (mine lasted until February!), I decided to update. I am not going to school right now and I love it. I felt very strongly that I should stay home this semester and I have had no regrets. I loved school and I actually did pretty good, but right now I am needed at home. I have enjoyed my quite days and my crazy afternoons and evenings. I love most of all that I have been home and I am recommitted to making our home a safe haven of peace away from the world. I love my job!

Lost Tooth!

Jacob lost one of his Top teeth last night.
Devin helped him pull it out. After it was all done he looked in the mirror and started to cry; "I'm UGLY! No one will think I am hot now!" Trying not to burst out into laughter, we told him he was so cute and that this is what all first graders look like. He finally let us take a picture. Wow, such is the life of a teen----NO he is only a first grader!! UG! :)
